Privacy Policy for iFonts

This policy explains how xType handles information when you use iFonts, including imported images, fonts, saved compositions, advertising, consent choices, and app support.

Overview

This Privacy Policy for xType ("we", "us", or "our") describes how and why we may collect, store, use, share, or otherwise process information when you use iFonts and any related website, support page, or service that links to this policy.

By using iFonts, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the app.

No account required iFonts does not require you to create an account with xType.

Information we process

The information processed by iFonts depends on the features you use, your device settings, and your advertising consent choices.

Information you provide to us If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, name, message contents, screenshots, crash details you choose to send, and any other information you include.
Creative content on your device iFonts may process images, fonts, saved projects, compositions, colors, favorites, and app settings that you import, create, edit, save, or export. This content is primarily stored on your device.
Files selected through Android When you choose an image or font through Android's file picker, share sheet, or supported intent, iFonts processes the selected file so it can be imported, edited, previewed, or saved.
Downloaded app content The app can connect to xType app content servers to download font catalogs, font files, image catalogs, and image assets. These requests may include technical information such as IP address, request time, URL requested, app version, and device/network diagnostics.
Advertising and consent data Google Mobile Ads SDK, Google AdMob, and Google User Messaging Platform may process data such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, ad interactions, diagnostics, consent choices, and approximate location inferred from IP address.
Device and diagnostics We and our service providers may process app version, device model, operating system version, language, country or region derived from technical signals, crash information, performance data, and fraud-prevention signals.

iFonts does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, precise health data, biometric data, or sexual orientation.

How we use information

We use information only as needed for app operation, support, security, legal compliance, and advertising-supported features.

  • To provide editing, importing, previewing, saving, exporting, and sharing features.
  • To download and cache fonts, images, and other app assets.
  • To remember local preferences such as favorites, vibration settings, colors, saved projects, and other app settings.
  • To show ads, manage consent choices, reduce fraud and abuse, and measure ad performance.
  • To respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and improve app stability and performance.
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms and policies, and protect users, xType, and third parties.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your imported images, fonts, saved projects, or compositions. We may share or make information available in the situations below.

  • Service providers: We may use hosting, app content delivery, analytics, diagnostics, advertising, and support providers that process information for the purposes described in this policy.
  • Google services: iFonts uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK for ads and Google User Messaging Platform for consent and privacy options. Google may process information under its own policies.
  • Android sharing and export: If you choose to share an image, font, composition, or app link with another app or service, that third party receives the information you selected and its own privacy policy applies.
  • Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, government request, or to protect rights, safety, security, and integrity.
  • Business changes: If xType is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.

Ads and consent

iFonts is supported in part by advertising. We use Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform to show ads, provide consent and privacy options where required, prevent abuse, and measure ad performance.

Depending on your location, consent choices, device settings, and Google's policies, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can use the in-app privacy options where available, your device advertising settings, and Google controls to manage ad personalization and related choices.

Google's advertising tools may process information such as IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostics, device identifiers, account identifiers, and approximate location inferred from IP address.

AI and on-device ML

iFonts uses Google ML Kit subject segmentation metadata for on-device image features. This means selected image processing can run on your device. xType does not upload your imported images to its own servers for this on-device segmentation feature.

Current cloud AI status: The current iFonts app version does not send prompts, imported images, saved compositions, or other user content to OpenAI or another third-party cloud AI provider for generation. If a future version enables cloud AI generation, this policy should be updated before that feature is released.

Retention

Locally stored images, fonts, saved projects, exported compositions, favorites, and settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup and device settings.

Support emails and rights requests may be retained as long as needed to respond, keep records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Server logs and diagnostics are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, debugging, analytics, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information we process. No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You should keep your device, operating system, and app version up to date and use care when sharing exported images, files, or app links with third-party apps or services.

Children

iFonts is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or appeal of a decision about your personal information.

Local app data

You can delete local projects, imported items, saved output, and app settings through the app where available, through Android app settings, by clearing app data, or by uninstalling the app. Files you exported to device storage or shared with other apps must be managed in those locations.

Advertising choices

You can manage ad personalization through Android and Google advertising controls. Where available, the app's privacy options can also be used to manage consent choices for Google advertising partners.

International transfers

xType is based in Greece. We and our service providers may process information in Greece, the European Economic Area, the United States, and other countries where our providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be identified by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be handled as required by applicable law.
